“Fifteen years in recruitment has given me many things – including a huge amount of first-hand experience of interviewing. I know how important recruitment is to a business, and that’s why I’m passionate about helping businesses get better at interviewing and hiring people.
After working for a recruitment agency I swapped sides and became an in-house recruiter for Microsoft and then Expedia, where I became Recruitment Manager for the EMEA region. I managed the growth from 70 staff to more than 850 in three years.
During that time I carried out thousands of interviews – and learned just how important it is to interview people professionally and consistently.
I also wrote and implemented a competency interviewing guide for Europe, which was subsequently rolled out globally. I developed and delivered interview training for Expedia across Europe, and established an interview mentoring program for hiring managers. I provided one-to-one coaching on interview technique with managers throughout the organisation, including the EMEA President and his direct reports.
I’ve also provided mock interviews for MBAs at both the University of Chicago and LBS. At the University of Chicago, I was a speaker and presented Demystifying the Recruitment Process to sixty executive MBAs.”
“My background is as a theatre director and actor trainer. Over the past 10 years I have blended the skills and experience gained from the performance industry to help offer dynamic and engaging training for the corporate and public sectors.
Working in partnership with clients and other expert trainers, I create bespoke training programs using actors in role-play, across a wide variety of sectors. My areas of expertise are in positive communication, relationship building, and interpersonal behavior.
